On The Way Out

J and I are headed out again today. Yesterday we went with Dad to the hospital in Charleston. He had a double knee replacement done. He was okay when we left, but got news that he had a slow heart rate.

Today we’re on our way to Walterboro to check out the Rural Development office. We’ve decided to look for a house instead of paying rent.

USDA has grants and loans for houses. Their loans are similar to mortgages. They run 30 years, but my sister’s payments would have only been $116 a month if she chose to get the house.

So I’m excited about that. If we can find a nice one, it’ll definitely be less than what we are spending now ($750/month).

Also I have to add that I’m blogging via BlackBerry. Yes! But anyway, after that we will probably head back to the hospital.
